The big day is almost here! The weather forecast is looking good (fingers crossed it stays that way) and the dishes look even better.
There are a few new things at this year’s festival that we’d like to bring to your attention before we see you on Sunday…
Water Fill Up Station
Staying hydrated is important! We will have a bottle-free water fill up station provided by Indy Soft Water. Bring your own water bottle if you like, or just use your Dig IN glass to rehydrate.
Behind-The-Scenes Food History Tours
Indy Star food writer Liz Biro will be leading short behind-the-scenes tours every hour on the hour. You’ll hob nob with chefs, meet farmers and food producers, get Liz’s tips on her favorite tastes around Indy and maybe even get a cooking lesson, too! If interested, you can sign up to take part at the Indy Star booth.
Joseph Decuis Raffle
Stop by the Joseph Decuis booth and enter to win a dinner for two at the Joseph Decuis restaurant and overnight stay at their Inn in Roanoke—a Tesla electric car will even be provided for your trip! Cost is $10 per entry and the proceeds will help Dig IN continue its mission of promoting Indiana food and farmers.
Dig IN Research Contest
Check your festival passport for details on how to enter our research contest for a chance to win gift certificates to one of your favorite restaurants! It’s free to enter. Your participation will help us understand what’s important to you and how to grow the local food community in Central Indiana.
Reconnecting To Our Waterways Display
Be sure to explore Big Car’s Reconnecting To Our Waterways (ROW) display. ROW is grassroots initiative designed to reclaim the benefits of Indianapolis’ waterways—helping neighborhoods strengthen waterways, and in turn, helping waterways strengthen neighborhoods.
A Note On Parking
Limited parking will be available in the underground garage near the Indiana State Museum. A surface lot north of Ohio Street (between Senate and Capitol) will be available for Dig IN parking at a fee.
If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to check out our festival FAQs, map, and lineup to help get yourself prepared for what is sure to be an amazing day. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, you can get those right here.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
