Too old to trick or treat? Want to do something fun this weekend but not into haunted houses? We were scared you might not have plans for the weekend, so here’s a roundup of three cool new events this Halloween.

Brains, Hearts, and other Parts – A Halloween Offal Dinner

This dinner should be great, not awful, but in this case offal actually refers to organ meats and other parts that are too commonly (and sadly) cast aside by the modern consumer. This event was put together by Andrew Whitmoyer of Thunderbird and is being hosted by Shoefly Public House, a Taste of Indiana participant. Other Dig IN partners include Eli Laidlaw and Aaron Butts. Sounds like a deadly good time!

Heaven and Hell Collaboration Release Party

The collaboration in this case is between Taxman Brewing Company and Scarlet Lane. The event description says to look for live music, the release of special brews, and a costume contest. Also according to the description, this will be the launch of an annual event as long as everyone gets along! Why not show up and help keep the peace this Halloween?

And for another annual event launch…

1st Annual Twangtoberfest

If you want to skip all the scary stuff and just go have a good time listening to music, check out some local bands and local foods this weekend. Don’t wear your robber costume, because this event is a steal at $15. By the way, we’ve heard the new Bent Rail menu is launching in the next few days, so more to come on #INSeason apples on the menu!
