INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 14, 2013) –  VIP tickets are sold out for Indiana’s favorite food festival – Dig IN, A Taste of Indiana – and a limited number of Early-Entry tickets and General Admission tickets remain available for purchase. The fourth-annual event, presented by Indiana’s Family of Farmers with premier sponsor Central Indiana Community Foundation, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis. Event tickets sold out in 2012, and fewer tickets are being offered this year to enhance the experience for all guests.

For only $60, Early-Entry Admission guests will be welcomed into the festival grounds at 11 a.m. to enjoy a leisurely hour of sampling dishes and beverages before the gates open for General Admission. During this extra hour, dozens of Indiana chefs, brewers, vintners and food artisans will be available for more in-depth conversations about their dishes and drinks. A limited number of Early-Entry tickets remain available, and will sell out before Aug. 25.

General Admission tickets are a great value at only $40, and provide guests with the full experience of all that Indiana agriculture has to offer. Ticketholders can enjoy cooking demonstrations, panel discussions and samples from each food and beverage vendor.

New this year, Dig IN will be more environmentally friendly. In partnership with the Indiana Recycling Coalition, organizers are striving to make this a zero-waste event. Volunteers from Cummins will be on hand to direct items to either the compost bag or recycling bin. Green with Indy will handle the hauling of the compost to GreenCycle, a local company that provides commercial composting service.

Included in the admission price is entertainment by musical guests Mikhail Robertson and Flatland Harmony.

Children’s tickets are only $10 for ages five to 10 years, and children four and under are admitted free. Parking, for a fee, will be available at the White River State Park Garage at 650 W. Washington St., or at the Indiana Government Center Parking Garage at 401 W. Washington. Purchase tickets and get more parking info at www.digindiana.org.
